End “Surpise” Medical Billing
Health Care advocacy organizations from around the country have united around a request to Congressional leadership to prohibit the practice of “surprise” billing of patients using in-network facilities by providers at those facilities who do not participate in health insurance networks. Our Tennessee delegation needs to hear from health care advocates across our state to support this prohibition. If you have a moment to contact your Congressperson and Senators please complete the form below to send the message or a similar message of your own surprise medical bill story. It will be important to act as soon as possible this week.
Congressional action will cover most employer-based insurance plans. State action will also be needed for other coverage. Watch for Action Alerts in January about upcoming actions in the Tennessee General Assembly on this issue.
